Description		    Discourses on Judaism and theology by Elias Salomon Nathan (1800-1862). The full title is Gedanken aus dem Tagebuch eines Juden über die drei grossen Propheten der europäischen Geschichte (Thoughts from the diary of a Jew concerning three major prophets of European history). Neither the author’s name of the date of publication appear on t he title page. There is a lengthy forward from the author, followed by the text in a single column in fraktur. Gedanken aus dem Tagebuch is comprised of nine chapters with the following headings: Moses; Das Mosaische System (the Mosaic system); Das Judenthum; Die Juden; Christus; Jehovah im Koran; Islamitisches Rechtsprinceps (Islamic principles); verse on Mosaische Religion (not part of a chapter); Paradorieen, and Theologisce Paradorieen; Rückblick, Gruss au den Recensenten vom herausgeber (a review from the publisher)
