The title page has a full length picture of a woman grieving and the title Dem Andenken meiner univergesslichen Mutter (the memory of my unforgettable mother). Below it are lines to be completed for the sterbetag (day of death) and length of life. Next is a fifty year calendar for the years 1920 through 1969 to be completed with the date on which the Jahrzeit comes out in each year; a page for a photograph of the deceased; of a tombstone with the heading zur ewigen ruhe bestattet (for the eternal rest); a blank page to be completed with the todesanzeige (death notice) and several pages of appropriate text and prayers. The page facing kaddish (prayer for the dead) in German and Hebrew has a three quarters page drawing of men in synagogue saying kaddish. There is a page on the origin and meaning of kaddish, accompanied by an illustration of a table with a Jahrzeit candle.
