Description		    Ketubah in French signed by R. David Athias (d. 1806), rabbi in Bordeaux. Athias, a Spanish family distinguished by the great number of scholars and promoters of learning. As early as the sixteenth century some of its members lived in Italy and Palestine; while another branch settled in the cities of Hamburg, Amsterdam, and London.
