Explanation of prayers recited throughout the year with interpretation of dreams by R. Abraham Shalom Hai ben Raphael Himoy. Much of the text is based on kabbalistic interpretations, in places accompanied by charts (diagrams). Also included are segulot found by the author in a manuscript. There are gematriot and kabbalistic prayers to be recited on special occasions and for singular requirements.
The first five paragraphs of the title page describing the book’s virtues begins with מילתא. The title page is dated with the verse, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God” (Exodus 18:15). It is followed by an approbation from R. Abraham Baruch Tolusa, R. Elijah ben Amozag, and R. Israel Kushta, all of Livorno. Next is R. Himoy’s introduction, each paragraph beginning le-derosh and concluding Elokim. The text of Le-Derosh Elokim follows, in a single column, primarily in rabbinic letters but also with considerable square letters. It is divided into twelve sha’ari, each further subdivided into chapters. |
