Addressed to Cincinnati, R. Pardes is inquiring as the the cause of R. Hayyim Pineahas Epstein's sudden departure from his rabbinical post with several further inquiries as to a replacement. R. Samuel Aaron Pardes (b. 1892) was born and raised in Poland. An erudite scholar, he was the founder and editor of the ha-Pardes rabbinical journal which flourished for many years with articles by many of the rabbinical leaders of the generation. |
