Detailed
Description
Prayers, hoshant, and hakafot for Simhat Torah. The title page describes it as Kol Rena (“The voice of rejoicing,” Psalms 118:15), a time of song reaching the courtyard of the house of our God, zemirot sung on the joy of our holy Torah, with prayer and verse on on the day of Simhat Torah, the day that the Lord has merited us to complete the Torah. It is the custom of Israel to circle seven the aron times with the Torah, with a God fearing elder holding a Sefer Torah, all rejoicing. The text begins by informing that the prayers are organized according to the arrangement of the Hida. The text is in square vocalized letters with instructions and brief annotations in rabbinic letters. The same year that this edition of Kol Rena appeared another, totally unrelated work with the same name, appeared in Amsterdam.
