Detailed
Description
Soft card to be completed by the owner with the blessing of R. Shimon bar Yohai. The header states that it is from the upper Galil, holy city of Safed. The second line states that he should be remembered for good for the charity distributed. The text states that immediately after receiving the blessing, he should be blessed by God with great abundance, blessing and prosperity, healthy children and great prosperity, to perform acts of, “righteousness and loving kindness” (Proverbs 21:21) all his days. I give thanks for that which is past and beseech concerning the future to continue to well in holiness and faithfulness, performing acts of kindness, etc. It concludes with the name of the tanna, Rashbi (R. Shimon bar Yohai), R. Eliezer, his son, and ha-Ari (R. Isaac Luria) and all the holy ones with them that it should be good for you. The card has been filled in and signed in a very fine, light handwriting.
