Description		    Eulogy for the holy ones murdered and the Sifrei Torah torn and burned in the year 1606, in the order, “and the earth was filled with violence” (Genesis 6:11), together with discourses on the condition of Israel in the present time by R. Abraham ben Hayyim Hoffenberg. Kol be-Ramah also includes halakhah and responsa. The title is, appropriately, from, “Thus says the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah (kol be-Ramah), lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not” (Jeremiah 31:14). Kol be-Ramah has an approbation from R. Noah Rabbinowitz dated 1893. There is a table of contents which lists the discourses beginning with Kol be-Ramah, and a eulogy, and including among the other eulogies Zion le-Nefesh (eulogy for R. Slobodfka-Kiev, Rosh Ha-Shnah, on Yom Kippur that comes our on Shabbat, and Shabbat ha-Gadol and Pesash. The halakhic discourses covers such topics as mezuzah, berit nmilah (2), mikveh, and kelaim. The text is in a single column in rabbinic type.
