Description		    Essays on the settlement of Erez Israel by R. Hayyim Jacob ben Zevi Kramer. The title page begins its description of the text with a quote from the Talmud, “‘This is Zion, for whom no man cares’ (Jeremiah 30:17) therefore it requires caring” (Rosh HaShanah 30). It describes the book as being about the inhabitation of Erez Israel, in four chapters. They are, 1) “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalms 122:6); 2) “But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance” (Obadiah 1:17); 3) “recompenses for the cause of Zion” (Isaiah 34:8); and, 4) “I will go to the great men” (Jeremiah 5:5). In addition there is a preceding chapter that serves as an introduction. The title page includes a dedicatory line to the lover of the holy land, the late Rabbi Moses Montefiore from the author. R. Kramer was also the author of Sha’ar Zion on the Talmud and was a supporter of of the school Le-torah u-le-Te’udah in Lodz. There is an approbation from R. Samuel Moholiver and a dedicatory page to Rabbi Moses Montefiore and the introductory chapter which begins with a discussion of Sir Moses Montefiore. The text follows in a single column in square letters.
