Description		    Thirteen beautiful glossy photographs of pre-state Israel designed to give an overview of the land and its people. The first picture is of Zina Dizengoff Square, Tel Aviv, with a fountain in the center, buildings in the background and shrubbery in the foreground. The second picture is if traffic along Allenby Road, Tel Aviv, followed by a seaside vista in Tel Aviv; the boulevard Rothschild, Tel Aviv; agricultural work in the Isreel valley; a general view of Jerusalem; the Jewish Agency building inJerusalem; the Western (Wailing) wall; Tomb of Rachel; Meron, ruins of an aold synagogue; Safad, general view; Tiberius, general view; and typical view of a kibbuz. These photographs evoke an earlier, quieter picture of life in Israel, then Palestine. Palphot was founded in the 1930's and has Israel’s largest photographic archives including pictures of Israel and the Holy Land since 1934, Biblical, religious, archeological and historical sites.
