Description		    This volume is part of a series entitled "Schriften des Verbandes der Sabbathfreunde" [Writings of the federation of friends of the Sabbath] and it is labeled Nos. 1 and 2. At least 10 different volumes appeared, including one by R. Samson Raphael Hirsch on the Jewish Sabbath (Frankfurt am Main, 1910).

The present volume, which is mostly in German, with a few phrases written in Hebrew, first discusses the program of the federation and then concentrates on the commandment to "remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it".
