Description
Unrecorded printed personal utility account book and inventory of essential items for the home and individual, including medicines and treatments. The book begins with a list of the items required both within and outside of the house. There are several pages of advice on such subjects as the care of children, for example, the frequency of bathing small children, and care of illnesses, such as eye sicknesses. Most of the book is comprised of preprinted lists, nineteen lines to a page, of items required for the home. For examples, items of men and women’s clothing, accoutrements for the house such as sheets, table cloths. Then a listing of the days of the weeks and months, and the days a leap year. The book concludes with a woodcut of the face of a bearded religious Jew, perhaps the owner’s ex libris.
