Detailed
Description		    Prayer book for the mussaf service for the Yom Adir (Yom Kippur) as arranged by R. Moses Hai Milul. The title page is preceded by a beautiful detailed copper plate depicting the law being read to the Jews, a Kohen blowing a shofar and in the background the encampment of the Jews in the wilderness. About this scenario are verses on four sides, that is, “For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the L-rd. It shall be a sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.” (Leviticus 16:30-31); “And this shall be an everlasting statute to you, to make an atonement for the people of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the L-rd commanded Moses (Leviticus 16:34); “Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place” (Leviticus 16:3). Next is the title page, its text within several rows of florets, and dated with the verse, “and they returned and earnestly sought G-d” (Psalms 78:34). There is an introduction from R. Jacob Nunes Weiss and a longer forward from Raphael Meldola. The text, in square vocalized letters, is accompanied by the commentary, detailed and lengthy, at the bottom of the page in rabbinic letters. At the end of the volumen is an explanation of the beraitta Pitum ha-Ketorat and a page of verse from R. Samuel ha-Kohen.
