Detailed
Description
A letter from R. Samuel ben Aaron Walkin (1908-1979) in which he attests to giving Yoreh Yoreh and Yadin Yadin Smicha (Rabbinical ordination) to R. Asher ben Eliezer Lichtenstein.

R. Walkin was born in Grodz, Lithuania and died in New York, NY. He was the former Rabbi of Lukatz Kreuz (near Poznan). During World War II he was able to escape to Shanghai and from there he made his way to New York in 1947.

This letter has his official stamp as Rabbi of Łokaozach, though it is dated Friday, the eve of Parashat Miketz 5706 in Shanghai.
