Offprint from Jahrbuch fur Judische Volkskunde of an article about Jewish folklore. Item bears inscription from the author, R. Jacob Nacht, a staunch Romanian Zionist, and a champion for the idea of Jewish autonomy in Romania towards the end of the 19th century. R. Nacht also fought against the Oath more Judaico, an oath that Jews in the Middle Ages were compelled to take in lawsuits with non-Jews.
