Detailed
Description
Unusual and attractive set of enactments of the Haburot Hibbat Yerushaliym Society, having a pasted in picture of the Temple and its surroundings and a fold out map of Erez Israel showing the division of the land between the twelve tribes of Israel (from one of the Amsterdam Haggadah editions). The takkanot are comprised of an introduction from R. Meir ben Nahum Barnet, gabbai of the Society, followed by eight basic rules to be followed by the members, and then the ten takkanot of the society. Among the takkanot is one (no. 5) allowing the gabbai to add additional takkanot as he sees fit. The takkanot include the usual ordinances of such an organization, including financial responsibilities and the handling of charity funds. After the enumerated rules are lengthier textual sections dealing with issues of charity and maintenance. The text is in two parts, the top of the page in Hebrew, and below it in a larger square font the text in Yiddish.
