Description		    Only edition of this commentary on the Torah and books of the Bible written in the manner of the Alshekh by R. Abraham ben Baruch מזאמושץ. The title page states that the commentary is on the Torah, Prophets, and Writings and describes the author as av be t din and rosh mesivta in באר and many other communities in Podolia. He was also the author of Hidudei de-Abba on the Ein Ya’akov, to be printed in the near future. Be-Derekh Alshekh has approbations from R. Mordecai Susskind Rottenburg, R. Joseph of Levov, and R. Pinhas Moses Harif. There is a brief introduction from R. Abraham in which he references Hidudei de-Abba and discusses the style of the Alshekh and the need for brevity. Not all books of the Bible are included here, the commentary on Psalms, Proverbs, and Job remain in manuscript. Hidudei de-Abba was not printed nor was a work on Mishnayot mentioned in the introduction. The text follows in two columns in rabbinic type. The Torah portion concludes on 27a followed by Megillat Ahashverus, Megillat Kohelet, and then Joshua and other books of the Bible in order.

בהקדמה: "ותהילים ומשלי ואיוב עדיין מונח בכתב עד אשר ירחיב ה' את גבולי אשר צר לי עד מאוד". "חדודי דאבא על עין יעקב" שנזכר בשער, לא נדפסו. בהקדמתו מזכיר חיבוריו "מרכבת המשנה על משניות וגם פי' על מ' רבה", שאף הם לא נדפסו. עיין: יעקב דב מנדלבוים, חכמי זמושץ', רשימה ביבליוגרפית, בוענאס- איירעס תשי"ז, עמ' 238, מס' 11. מסגרת השער זהה למסגרת שבספרים "כרם חמד", דיהרנפורט ת"ץ, ו"מנהגים מכל השנה", דיהנפורט תפ"ח. הציור שבראש השער (כפות ידיים של כהן, נשואות לברכה) הוא סמל-המדפיס של יששכר בער בן נטע כ"ץ. הסכמות: ר' מרדכי זיסקנד רוטנבורג, לובלין, ראש-חודש אלול תע"ב; ר' יוסף מלבוב, טיסמניץ, ט שבט תע"ד; ר' פנחס משה חריף, לבוב, ג ניסן ת"ס.
