The volume is a report on excommunication including the original Biblical references and the Jewish law that developed. R. Dr. Mandl was, from 1895-1899, the Rabbi in Kostel, a town in Moravia with the oldest Jewish community in Moravia. The text is in German with occasional words and phrases in Hebrew.
