The title translates as the "oldest love song of the world" - The Song of Solomon. This volume is labeled "II. Teil des Peosien des Alten Testaments im deutschen Gewande" [The second volume of the poetry of the Old Testament paraphrased] into German by Markus Epstein, (b. 1834). The JUDr preceeding his name indicates that the author was an attorney-at-law.
