Detailed
Description		    Appeal by R. Abraham Ashkenazi, Haham Bashi of Jerusalem, for funds to alleviate the harsh living conditions in Erez Israel. The Haham Bashi seeks monies to redeem the two last properties of the Kollel in Jaffa and Jerusalem, sold to support the members of the Kollel with a one year stipulation of redemption. The document was printed in Hebrew with a second circular in Italian.

Shoshana Halevi (Jerusalem Imprints) does not record where she saw the copy. According to inquires with the heads of the archives in Jerusalem, it appears that Halevi did not see an original copy and records this pamphlet from other historical sources. Possibly her source was the newspaper Havezelet, (vol. 1, issue 2, p. 8). In any event the campaign was successful!

The Italian version is unknown to bibliographeres.
