Description		    R. Asher Anshel b. Moshe Nathan ha-Levi Jungreis (1874-1941) was born in Tiszafured, Hungary where his father was rabbi. He followed in the footsteps of his prominent rabbinical family and was appointed rabbi of Gyongyos in 1899. He wrote Zakhor veShamor (2 vol., Budapest 1938), commentary to the Pentateuch.
