One side is an "announcement and warning" that it is forbidden to participate in the upcoming (for the second Knesset) election. This polemic reiterates the warning that it is forbidden to take any part in the electins. It is signed by Mordecai Hayyim Slonim, Avraham Yitshak Kahn and Mordecai Harris.
The other side of this poster is called כרוזה קרא בחיל. This is making known that there is a rabbinical injunction against women participating in elections. It is signed by numerous rabbis, includeing R. Yosef Hayyim Sonnenfeld. The bottom includes an additional paragraph taken from a letter originally printed in Kol Yisrael in 1925 from R. Avraham Menahem HaLevi Steinberg where he categorically states that it is forbidden for women to participate in elections. His language utilized the phrase (in Hebrew, of course) that women are not allowed to choose, or be chosen .
