Description		    This volume contains a memoir of fifty years "from office and life", as well as a history of Hazanut [Jewish cantorial music] in Germany. Jacobsohn is also the author of Beiträge zur Cultusfrage: zwei pädagogische Aufsätze (Leipzig, 1878), Biblische Frauengestalten: Charakterschilderungen für die reifere weibliche Jugend (Leipzig, 1896), and Der Deutsch-israelitische gemeindebund nach ablauf des ersten decenniums seit seiner begründung von 1869 bis 1879 (Leipzig, 1879).
