Detailed
Description
A blessing to the community of Alessandra by the agent of the Tiberius Jewish Community, R. Hayyim Solomon Abulafia. R. Abulafia, a grandson of R. Hayyim b. Moses Abulafia, founder of the rebirth of Tiberius, was a member of the widespread and influential family, of rabbis, poets, statesmen, and communal leaders in Spain. A distinguished rabbinical family was established in Palestine and Syria after R. Hayyim b. Moses Abulafia moved from Smyrna to Tiberius. R. Hayyim Solomon Abulafia was referred to as the "Baal Hanissim", possessed of miracles. He travelled in Europe on various occasions from 1816-1820. R. Abulafia concluded his mission by publishing the responsa of his uncle R. Jacob BeRav in Leghorn (1820).
