Description |
|
The R. Mordecai b. Moses Vorhand (1887-1945) copy with his signature and dedication on fly. R. Vorhand was ordained by his uncle, R. Hillel Lichtenstein and other noted rabbis. He served as chief judge of Nitra, followed by the same prestigious position in Bethluen. He is the author of Be'er Mordecai, responsa and novellae on the laws of Niddah and Mikveh (Galanta 1927); Kinyan Hadash (Budapest 1923) on the laws of Ketubah. R. Vorhand became a Holocaust victim, he perished in the Bergen Belzen ovens. |
