Description		    Hebrew grammar for German students by J. M. Japhet. It has a Hebrew title and the majority of the text is exercises in Hebrew. Nevertheless, the book reads from left to write. The ftitle page describes it as Praktische Aufgaben zum Gebrauche beim Unterrichte in der hebräischen Sprache (Practical exercises for instruction in the Hebrew language). There is a forward from the author dated Tamuz, 5628 (1868) and a table of contents listing forty-four lessons plus errata. The instructions are in German in Fraktur but the extensive exercises are in Hebrew. J. M. Japhet was a pedagogue in the Realschule der Israelitischen Religionsgesellschaft in Frankfort-on-the-Main, established by Samson Raphael Hirsch.
