Description		    This volume is actually two in 1, with both having the title “Bet Yaakov.” The first is a collection of 6 sermons, and the second contains responsa dealing with Yoreh Deah and Even HaEzer (two sections of R. Yosef Karo’s [1488-1575] Shulhan Arukh) by R. Jacob ben Aryeh Leib Ruderman, a congregational Rabbi in Camden, New Jersey. The sermon volume and the responsa volume both indicate that this is “"חלק ראשון (part 1), but no other volume of sermons or responsa was published.

There are approbations in each section. The approbations in the responsa volume are the same as those in the sermon volume They were written by: R. Sholom Elhanan Ha-levi Yaffe of New York, R. Dov Aryeh (son of Avraham) Ha-Kohen Leventhal of Philadelphia, R. Hayyim Yaakov Vidrowitz of New York, and R. Hillel Ha-Kohen, who was known as Dr. Klein of New York. The three resposa concern issues in divorce law and kashrut.
