An announcement of a decision by the assembly of Rabbis of Erez Israel that met on Wednesday, the 26th of Nissan, 5680 (April 14, 1920) - that the clause about women participating in elections [which was accepted by the temporary committee,] is against the religion of Moshe and Yehadut, and against the spirit of the nation as a whole….and furthermore no man should participate in the "assembly of the chosen."
The poster continues by saying that a decision was reached as well to publicize that the clause about women participating should be annulled, and if not it will be as if the national assembly will be considered only as that of a political party, and it will not have any power.
The council of Rabbis announces that any decision of the elected assembly will have no power over matters that related to matters of holy and profane, not for private matters and not for public matters.
This statement is issued over the name of R. Abraham Isaac Kook, and issued by Yitshak Yaffee and Fishel Rozner.
