A manual for ritual circumcisers (Mohalim) by Mordekhai Lansky, and edited by Moshe Feldstein. The subtitle translates as " a short course in anatomy, physiology and aseptic". The text is in Yiddish and the plates deal with anatomy, physiology and also basic microbiology. One plate is particularly amusing. It shows a drawing of a drop of water under the microscope and the various microbes that might be in it. The caption reads (in loose translation) – "imagine what you can find in a drop of water under the microscope."
