Description
Bi-lingual Hebrew-German concise compendium of sayings from traditional sources to be recited at times of troubles over income or when traveling by R. Joseph ben Jacob ha-Levi Tayer. The title page, in Hebrew only, describes it as a collection of maxims assembled from Bible, Mishnah, halakhot, aggadah, and ethical works for the purpose oo one who is troubled about earnings, or traveling. It allows him to fulfill his responsibility to learn Torah daily. It was printed earlier in Jerusalem (unknown imprint) and is now being published anew in with German translation so that it will be of equal utility to everyone. There is an introduction from R. Tayer followed by the text. Shulhan ha-Tahor is made up of facing Hebrew and German text pages, both set within a thin border. R. Tayer has assembled his sayings from a variety of sources, including, in addition to those mentioned on the title page, midrashim.
