Proofs of the eternity of the Jewish people by R. Dov Aryeh ben Tuvia Michael Friedmann. It also includes responses to those among the nations who would deny this and sayings from on the faith in the final redemption and the dwelling of the Jewish people in the land of Israel. The date is known from the censors approval on the verso of the title page in Cyrillic. There is an introduction from R. Friedmann, who begins with the analogy of a flame taking hold of the flax of a tree during a storm. So too, in the final days, the loving flame in the hearts of those who love Israel, the Jewish people and their Holy Land. Nezah Yisrael is an empathetic and well reasoned work on the eternity of the Jewish people and Erez Israel. The text, in a single column in square letters is accompanied by footnotes in rabbinic letters.
A popular work, Nezah Yisrael was printed simultaneously twice in 1883 in Warsaw by different presses, namely that of N. Shriftgiser and of P. Lebenson. Nezah Yisrael has not bee reprinted since this edition. |
