Description		    Dr. Heinrich Zimmern (1862-1931) was a noted German Assyriologist, and a professor at the University at Leipzig. He was the author of many works in that field of studies, including the following which were translated into English: The Babylonian and the Hebrew Genesis (London, 1901), and Creation and chaos in the primeval era and the eschaton: a religio-historical study of Genesis 1 and Revelation 12 (Grand Rapids, 2006). The present work is a comparison of Biblical and Assyro-Babylonian accounts of creation.
