The full title of this work is: Die einfache Bibelexegese der Tannaïm, mit besonderer Berücksichtigung ihres Verhältnisses zur einfachen Bibelexegese der Amoraïm. This study on the Biblical exegesis of the Tannaim, as opposed to that of the Amoraim, was the author's (1865-1908) Inaugural dissertation at Halle-Wittenberg. Dr. Dobschütz also published a volume of his sermons in Skotschau (1909) entitled: Festpredigten gehalten im Jahre 1907 (5667).
