Description		    R. Friedman responds to R. Israel Dusovitz and his Ha-Shabbat la-Kadsho - R. Friedman pours hot and cold on R. Dosovitz in this work. R. Dosovitz had written a critical review of the R. David Friedman’s Yad David. In it, R. Dosovitz, was zealous for the honor of our earlier rabbis, who were like angels, whose words are holy and should not be pushed aside. He notes later poskim who ruled as them over generations, and their decisions, which have spread throughout Israel, are not to be disputed. R. Dosovitz therefore takes it upon himself to review and rebut.

R. Tzvi Hirsch Friedman (d.1969) was Hungarian by birth and before moving to the US in 1921, was rabbi of Hatszeg in Transylvania. A student of both the Minchat Eleazar of Munkacz and the Kedushat Yom Tov of Sighet, Friedman was an accomplished scholar and the author of numerous books, most of which dealt with controversial issues in a most idiosyncratic fashion.
