| A work of Yiddish fiction called "the robber with thirteen heads and a stone heart". The Yiddish in the short story is vowelized.
"Rasboinik" is the Russian word for robber. Words from the various countries in which Jews lived made their way into the colloquial Yiddish of that country.
The title story is followed by a few pages which are titled "Important for all Jews in the entire world". They deal with the Midrash Rabba. It seems that an edition of the Midrash Rabba was published by the same publisher, and he is publicizing this publication in the booklet containing the short story. |
