Description
   Miniature prayer-book printed on the island of Djerba. The prayers are for Minhah, Ma’ariv. For weekdays and for Shabbat in a small pocket format. The prayers for those occasions are comprehensive, inlkcuding Bameh Madlikin for Friday night, prayers that it is customary to say Friday night between Purim and Pesah, and Birkhat ha-Mozen. Despite its small size the letters are relatively large and easily readable.

Djerba (Jerba), island off the coast of Tunisia. In ancient times it was an important Phoenician trading center. According to the local tradition, the Jewish settlement there is very old. It maintains that the Jews came there during the reign of Solomon and founded the present al-Hara al-Kab
