Description		    Lengthy work by R. Dr. Hirsch S. Hirschfeld (1812-1884) who was the Rabbi in Wollstein. He was also the author of De literatura deperdita Hebraeorum (Berlin, 1836), Der Geist der talmudischen Auslegung der Bibel (Berlin, 1840) and Der Geist der ersten Schriftauslegungen, oder, Die hagadische Exegese: ein Beitrag zur Geschichte der Exegese und zur Methodologie des Midrasch (Berlin, 1847) .
