Description		    One-hundred-forty-four photographs (2 lacking) and brief biographies of leading contemporary Jews encompassing a wide spectrum of Jewish life. In addition to the black and white photographs there is a full page tinted photo of Theodore Herzel. The volume does not have a title page. However, after the Herzel photo is an introduction by the Haveret Cigriot Kedem which states that this is the first time such an album of distinguished Jewry has been assembled. The individuals included have been selected due to their contribution in such varied fields as politics, science, literature, faith, theatre, music, industry, sport, etc. There are eight photos to a page and the biographical information in Hebrew, which includes dates of birth, important information and achievements. At the end of the album is a listing of the entries in Hebrew and in English. Among the individuals listed are Prof. Ch. Weizman, Max Nordau, Stephen Wise, Guldo Jung, Shalom Asch, Josef Chaim Brenner, Abraham Shlonsky, Arnold Zweig, Leon Moagnes, Bruno Walter, Horowitz, Ignatz Friedman, Arthur Rubinstein, Jascha Heifetz, Richard Tauber, David O. Selcznick, Charly Chaplin, Paul Muni, Al Jolson, and Jerry Weismuller.
