Some sections in German, some in English. Introducution in German by Isaac Meyer Wise. Includes Huebsch's sermons and two articles on Oriental Jewry as well as a final chapter, "Obseqies and Tributes To his Memory. " Hebrew text from his monument at end. Huebsch, who was Hungarian-born, was of the more conservative wing of Reform Judaism. He became rabbi of the New York congregation in 1866. |
