   First edition. Frontispiece portrait of Dr. Huebsch. 8vo. XIII, 350 pp. Ex-library with minimal markings. Lacks outer covers. Dampstained; pages slightly warped. Some chipping to corners. Text in good condition.

Description
   Some sections in German, some in English. Introducution in German by Isaac Meyer Wise. Includes Huebsch's sermons and two articles on Oriental Jewry as well as a final chapter, "Obseqies and Tributes To his Memory. " Hebrew text from his monument at end. Huebsch, who was Hungarian-born, was of the more conservative wing of Reform Judaism. He became rabbi of the New York congregation in 1866.
