| A poster in Hebrew and Yiddish put out by the the United [Satmar] Rabbis of the United States and Canada banning the viewing of television and decrying its use as the source of almost all forbidden behavior.
A special appeal is made to have mercy on the children particularly and not to allow a television to enter the home.
The poster is signed by R. Yonatan Steif, R. Yoel Teitelbaum and R. Yehoshua Hayyim Teitelbaum and followed by a list of over one humdred other Rabbis who joined in.
At the bottom of the poster is a request to hang it in synagogues and houses of study and other places where people gather. |
