   [1] p., 222:1447 mm., age stained, neatly laid down on boards (glued on edges), creased and split on folds, ink on paper, final two lines in Rebbe's hand, signed and dated.
          
Paragraph 1    Letter to a disciple by the first Bobover Rebbe written in the final year of his life. The hasid is given encouragement to succeed in his endeavors and bestows on him many hearty blessings. The Rebbe, reputed to have Ru'ah ha-Kodesh (the holy spirit), is the subject of many wonderful stories and miracles. His holy hand wrote this letter!

Description
   R. Solomon b. Meir Noson Halberstam (1847-1905), Hasidic Rebbe, founder of the Hasidic dynasty of Bobov. R. Solomon was the oldest grandson of the Divrei Hayyim of Sanz. At age eight, R. Solomon became an orphan and moved in with his grandfather who became his mentor and teacher in Torah and Hasidut. The task was shared by his maternial grandfather as well, R. Eliezer of Dzhikov. He married the daughter of R. Joshua of Kaminka. In later life his second wife was the daughter of R. Menashe of Drubitsh.

In 1864 he became the rabbi of Bikofsk, Oshpitzin (Polish: Oświęcim) in 1879, and Vishnitsa in 1880. He set up a large yeshiva in Vishnitsa, in 1881, and began to serve as a Admor there. The yeshiva, which attracted thousands of students was the first yeshiva to be established in Poland, it later became known as the Bobover Yeshiva. In 1892 he was appointed as the rabbi of Bobov. He passed on in the summer of 1905 (1 Tamuz 5765).
