Description		    Only edition of this kizzur Shulhan Arukh by R. Israel Issur Kalischer. In addition to the basic text halakhot on on the Milah, Pidyon ha-Ben, and avelut have been added to the work. The text is accompanied by a commentary explaining and providing reasons for those halakhot by the author entitled Torat ha-Bayit. The purpose of Beit Yisrael, as stated on the title page is for the benefit of young people. The book is in two parts; the first part has twenty chaptes, covers such topics beginning with arising in the morning, proper intent in making benedictions, zizit. Tefillin, morning blessings, blessings on the Torah, pesukei de-zimra, kaddish and kedusha Rabbah, tefillah, tachnun, reading the Torah, bendeditions for food, and concluding with minhah and ma’ariv. Part two is comprised of eighteen chaptersm beginning with Shabbat, Rosh Hodesh, and Pesah, and encompassing milah and visiting the sick. Within each subject there are several sub topics. The text is in squar letters, Torat ha-Bayit, whichis at the bottom of the page, in rabbinic type.
