Description		    Important Hassidic work comprised of discourses, commentary on the Torah, and the teachings, history, and biographical information of the Koidanov Hassidic dynasty by R. Shalom ben Baruch Mordecai Perlow of Kaidinov. The full title is Divrei Shalom al ha-torah ve-ha-Avodah. Divrei Shalom has approbations from R. Mordecai ben Asher Klazki and R. Isaac Elhanan Spektor. R. Shalom ben Baruch Mordecai Perlow of Kaidino (1850-1925), the younger son of R. Baruch Mordecai, was a resident of Lida. In 1884 R. Perlow was appointed rabbi in Brzezany (Volhynia) and in 1890 he moved to Brahin in Minsk Province. In addition to Divrei Shalom, his most important work, R. Perlow wrote Mishmeret Shalom (Warsaw, 1912) on the customs of his father and of Karlin and Slonim; Ateret Shalom (Warsaw, 1895) on a piyyut from R. Aaron of Karlin; and Midrash Pinhas ha-Hadash (Warsaw, 1910) and Shem Aaron (Warsaw, 1910) the last two small works on the views of his ancestors on various matters, including instructions to teachers not to hit their students. His will contains an appendix discussing the exorcising of dybbuks and the transmigration of souls.
