Mahzor of Yom Kippur with the kabbalistic notes (unpublished) of the Chief Rabbi of Zfat, R. Solomon b. Eleazar Hazzan (1855-1886). He was born in Marrakesh and emigrated to Zfat as a three year old in 1858. An erudite talmudic scholar, orator, and Kabbalist, he wrote: Shulhan ha'Tahor (Jerusalem 1886) collection of homilies delivered in Safed; Shulhan ha-Zahav (Alexandria, Egypt 1903) commentary to Genesis and Exodus. |
