Detailed Description |
|
A small orange pouch designed to hold a small amount of earth from the Mount of Olives, as it is a custom for Jews to be buried with some soil from the Holy Land in their coffins. The pouch was used to raise funds for the Colel Chabad of Jerusalem. The front side has a small overview of Jerusalem with the phrase וכפר אדמתו עמו. The other side has a picture of Jerusalem showing the grave of the Prophet Zechariah...and Yad Avshalom. The picture is surrounded on all four sides with sentences from the Bible.
