Description
   R. Arye Zevi (Leib Hirsch) b. Chanoch Hendel Fromer (1884-1943), was Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Hakhmei Lublin in Lublin and a devoted disciple of R. Abraham Bernstein, the Avnei Nezer. He had previously served as rabbi in Sosnowiec (Poland), Czeladz (Silesia), and Koziglov, by which name he was referred to. He wrote: Erez Zevi (Lublin 1938) responsa; Mekabze'el (3 vol. Lublin 1936-37) novellae on several tractates; Siah ha-Sadeh (Piotrkow 1913) halakhic novellae. He was murdered by the Nazis in Auschwitz.
