Detailed Description |
|
The journal HaPardes was essentially the house organ of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, the mainstream pre-WWII haredi rabbinic group in North America. The content includes many articled by R. Eliezer Silver, President of the Va'ad Hazolah, and other contemporary writers on the status of Jews in Europe, fascinating reading. Althought primarily a Torah journal, the period called for special reports that superseded the normal articles germane to the journal. |
