This volume is a handbook for cantors, and for anyone who serves at religious functions in the synagogue or any other location. Extensive handwritten notes on the blank end papers of the volume contain additions supplications and hymns in German and Hebrew.

Adolph Schonfeld, 1828-1892, a cantor from Posen, has compiled a handbook for cantors (or anyone else who is serving at a religious function) to encompass all religious occasions.There is a detailed table of contents at the end of the volume. Most the text is in Hebrew with occasional phrases in German.
