| Paragraph 1 |
|
This booklet is an open letter to "our brothers in the exile". The first 12 pages are in Hebrew, and the remaining pages contain a Yiddish translation. The letter itself is signed by group of over 20 Rabbis, and the addendum is signed by R. Abraham Isaac HaKohen Kook, who was Chief Rabbi at the time. |

Detailed Description |
|
The letter states that the aid that the Jews of the world are sending is only reaching those who were directly affected by the events [the riots of 1929?] , and if other Jews of Erez Israel are suffering the doors of aid are closed to them. The letter continues to state that this is not logical...that those who were not affected directly were nonetheless affected indirectly and that their economic condition is no less harmed.
The postscript by R. Abraham Isaac Kook reinforces the message that is signed by the large group of Rabbis in asking for economic aid for the Jews of Erez Israel.
