Description		    Liturgy (viduii) and texts to be learned erev Rosh Hodesh. The title page describes it as the order to be followed on the fast nah tov on the day prior to Rosh Hodesh. This is a well corrected version. Publication was financed by R. Elisha Amran and the title page is dated with the verse “who keeps truth for ever” (Psalms 146:6). Although his name does not appear on the title page the compiler of Mishmeret ha-Tohorah was R. Hayyim Joseph David Azulai (Hida). Mishmeret ha-Tohorah begins with viduii (2a-8b), arranged alphabetically, to be said after morning prayers. It continues with the biblical texts to be learned, beginning with Leviticus, followed by readings in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekial, going on to Avot, Middot, Tamid, portions from the Zohar, and Minhah.
